Pupil Premium is additional funding for publicly funded schools in England.

It’s designed to help improve the attainment of disadvantaged pupils and closing the gap in learning between them and their peers.

Schools get Pupil Premium funding based on the number of pupils they have on roll at the time of the October pupil census. 

Eligibility

• Pupils who have been entitled to free school meals in the last 6 years
• Children looked after and previously looked after children and young people
• Pupils who have a parent serving in the HM Forces or who has retired on a pension from the Ministry of Defence
